A Farewell and a Warm Welcome!

Hello to All,
I have both exciting and sad news. Effective June 8th, a new chapter will begin here at Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa. Susan, my lovely bride and I have made the bitter sweet decision to move back to our home in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, so I will be resigning as the General Manager to this unique and spectacular Resort.
It was a difficult choice for us to make, however, the important decisions are never easy. I have been so honored to work with everyone here at Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa as well as all our associates throughout our community and basin areas.
I came to Lake Arrowhead to represent and implement the vision of our Ownership and Gemstone. The vision was bold, and the changes were huge. Everyone believed in us, and your commitment enabled us to accomplish our lofty goals. Thank you for your trust and your hard work. It truly was and will continue to be a dedicated team effort. I cannot thank ALL of you enough for your confidence, dedication and enthusiasm. We have created something uniquely wonderful, and I am confident that your new General Manager will take Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa to the next level and even greater notoriety and success.
This brings me to my exciting news. I would like to introduce everyone to our new General Manager, Steven Boswell. Steven will join us on Tuesday, June 3, 2008. He was hand picked to continue the vision of our Ownership and Gemstone, so everyone should experience a very smooth transition.
Steven comes to us from Willows Lodge, located in Seattle, Washington, where he has been General Manager for three years. Willows Lodge is quite similar to our Resort. It, too, is an upscale, luxury destination resort with many of the same activity and luxury amenities we offer here. Prior to Willows Lodge, Steven was General Manager at Ocean Key Resort & Spa in Key West, Florida. He also worked for Lowes Hotels & Resorts in Santa Monica, California, and Starwood Hotels & Resorts throughout Southern California.
I am very confident that our guests, Preferred Guest members, Spa members, and Club Magnum members will be quite pleased with Steven’s knowledge and experience in high-end, boutique hotels. He is looking forward to meeting his new staff and all of you soon soon after his arrival. I know he will be welcomed by all.
Susan and I will always have a very special place in our hearts for Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa and this incredible mountain community. We have shared some very special moments together and witnessed a million acts of kindness along the way. We have made lifelong friendships and been the recipients of sincere warmth and hospitality.
The generosity and philanthropy of this mountain community is truly amazing.
We felt welcome from our very first day in Lake Arrowhead and will always be so grateful for your warm hospitality. In our list of places to travel in the future, we will definitely include Lake Arrowhead (and, Italy, of course). We also hope that you might consider a trip to Chapel Hill to visit us.
Thank you once again for your undeniable dedication to Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa. The past two and a half years have been richly rewarding.
